P.M. Johnson I'm happy to say I'm going through my final review of the next book, The Warrior now. It should be available in about a month.
P.M. Johnson I'm inspired by things I've read, conversations with friends, movies I've seen, and so on. With respect to The Navigator, the story had been percolating in my head for a while so it flowed out of me pretty quickly. In the end, I'm inspired to write fun books that I'd like to read. Ultimately, I'm writing for myself and inviting others to join me.
P.M. Johnson I'm starting to map out what Book 2 of the Apollo Stone Trilogy will look like. I know how the three books will fit together at a high level. I know how the characters will grow, and I have some new characters in mind. It's difficult to say when Book 2 will be complete. It took me about seven months to write the first book, so I expect to have the second one done within a year at the latest.
P.M. Johnson Although I'm a new author myself, I was able to finish the project by establishing a writing routine and sticking to it. It's not easy. There are many things competing for our time these days, but if you take the writing seriously and commit to a regular routine, you'll be surprised how much you can achieve.
P.M. Johnson The best thing about being an author is having the freedom to develop your ideas into something unique. You have complete control over the creative process. It's all yours. It might be good. It might be not-so-good. But it's all yours.
P.M. Johnson Because I've got a dozen other things going on in my life and can only write at odd hours, I have plenty of time away from writing. While this is a source of frustration, it also a source of rejuvenation. They provide me fresh perspectives and a sense of urgency whenever I have a chance to sit down and put words around my thoughts.
