L. Kevin Watson I am driven by a desire to fill a gap that I see in the market. So many adventures fit a pattern: combat, combat, skill challenge, combat. Not always in that order, but always in that summation. As I reflect on these unfulfilling experiences, I think of ways to allow for more flexible encounters and proceed from there
L. Kevin Watson I am working on the concluding chapter to the Haunting of Hastur series, DNH5 - Carcosa. I expect to have it drafted by April and in shape for a June Kickstarter.
L. Kevin Watson The Haunting of Hastur series came from an intersection of the Open Gaming License, my return to RPG's after a protracted absence, and an edition I was interested in using as a platform.

The Open Gaming License, or OGL, allows the use of a portion of a game system's material without cost as long as the rules are followed. It has been fueling third-party publishers for decades.

I took a protracted absence from gaming after a game I was playing in went off in a dark direction and got needlessly graphic and disturbing. It shattered my enjoyment of tabletop games and drove me to computer games for several years. I returned to tabletop RPG's in 2010.

The 5th edition of Dungeons and Dragons is, at least for me, a welcome and wonderful return to the 1980's when the game was simpler and less rigid.
