A. Hall Being able to take people away with your words. As a storyteller, you spend hours either whisked away on your own fantasies or locked into someone else's, consumed through different mediums. It is such a pleasure to weave something that can captivate someone else just as much.
A. Hall Watching movies and tv shows, looking at artwork, reading other books. A lot of times, I start with characters and I'm often inspired by an actor/tress's performance in creating them. Then the story develops around them.

Other than that... it's hard for me to pinpoint inspiration because I can literally rattle off a story about anything for you right now and within a minute or two have it make a cohesive sense. Is that being inspired by anything or are my mechanisms just running without need of supervision.

If you mean inspiration to sit down and write, it's the same sort of thing. I work through a scene, usually with dialogue, in fantasy first. If it's not fun to sit and play with the pieces in my head, then I won't sit down and write it.
