Why should they listen to me? I have not landed a mainstream publishing deal yet. However, if anyone's wanting to be be a writer in the sense of someone who writes, there's only one way to do that: Write. Just do it. Read, read, read; write, write, write; revise, revise, revise.

So far, in my experience as an author publishing their own stuff amazon: writing. The best part so far is just being able to write and create--doing it for the sheer love of it.

There's no such thing as writer's block. You sit down and you force yourself to write. If you sit down and it's really hard to write, it's probably because you're really tired. Writing takes energy. So I would try my best to write as much as I can in the given time period, not be too harsh on myself, and make sure I get some good rest soon.
