J. Bengtsson Hi Shelly, so happy you found the Cake Series. I have so many favorite scenes - usually revolving around the funnier parts. I loved the whole scene with Emma and Finn at the carnival. The Ferris Wheel, the porta potty. Him trying to win her a stuffed animal. Also, Kyle, when he was pouring his heart out to Jake toward the end of Theory. Tears were literally dripping onto the keyboard 😂. I also like the first meeting with Jake and Casey and then later in Newlyweds with the German Choc cake (based on a true story on a cruise ship) and Chuckie Cheese scenes. 😂 My new novel, Like The Wind, coming out in audio first Jan.15th, has some funny scenes too but I don't want to give them away.
J. Bengtsson Hi Sandra, I'm so sorry. I only just saw your question. Yes, they should all be linked. Sometimes it can take up to a month for Amazon to add whispersync to a new title. :)
J. Bengtsson Hello Ernestine, yes, you will find out what happened to Keith and Samantha because I announced yesterday over on my group page, The Banana Binder, that book five (Keith's story) is tentatively scheduled for a November release. :)
J. Bengtsson Hi, thanks for the question. I just announced yesterday in my group page, The Banana Binder, that book five in the Cake series is tentatively scheduled for release in November. :)
J. Bengtsson Hi Lea, glad you asked. The first, second, and third book in the series can be read as standalones and out of order (although there is a backstory that runs through all the books that connects them) but the fourth book, Cake: The Newlywed is a sequel and should not be read until after you've finished book one, Cake: A Love Story. :)
J. Bengtsson I haven’t thought about it yet. Kyle is my favorite too. He’s so loyal and sarcastic. He and Kenzie will be in the new Cake book revisiting Jake and Casey titled Cake: The Newlyweds our February 2018
J. Bengtsson Book four in the Cake series comes out in early 2018 and, like you had hoped, will be going back to Jake and Casey. You will absolutely learn the answer to your questions. If you'd like a sneak peak at the book, you can check out my facebook page jbengtssonauthor. This whole week it's featuring teasers. :)
J. Bengtsson I'm working on it now and hoping to release sometime in February. SO happy you are enjoing the series. :)
J. Bengtsson Hi Oriares,
I recently decided to continue on with this series so Quinn will eventually get a story. I figure you can never go wrong with another rock star in the family. Haha. Of course, his story will have to take place a few years in the future since he's currently 18 in book four. :)
J. Bengtsson Hi Puja, thanks for the question. I would definitely like to continue on with this series because I too feel like the others need their stories told too. I’m hoping for a February release for book four but it’s the start of a new school year and I find myself a bit behind on my writing. Hopefully I can catch up. 😀
J. Bengtsson Hi Lynda,

So glad you are enjoying the audiobook series. The narrators are really great. I'm so lucky they agree to do my books because they are busy people, all of them.
All three books in the series are available in trade paperback on Amazon (the matte finish covers are so nice-I love to just stare at them-haha). There should be no issue buying them on Amazon.ca. :)

J. Bengtsson That is a good question. I'm still so new to writing that I've just poured everything I have into these books (and am even considering writing additional stories on the other siblings). It definitely makes it hard to focus on any other story or character when the McKallister family dominates my life-haha. I have, however, kicked around another rock star romance idea-something I haven't seen written before- but it will have to wait at least another book or two. :)
J. Bengtsson Hi Lindsay,

Thanks so much for the question. I'm so happy you loved Jake and Casey. Hopefully, the couples in the other books, Kyle and Kenzie (Theory Of Second Best) and Emma and Finn (Fiercely Emma) lived up to expectation. And yes, I am currently writing Jake and Casey in a follow-up book. It should be out sometime in the beginning of 2018. :)
J. Bengtsson I will definitely continue writing these types of stories because it's what I love to read too. After another story on Jake and Casey, I'd like to write about Keith. I imagine he's got an LOL/cry story in him too. :)
J. Bengtsson Hi Mary,
Sorry you didn't get anything done this weekend. 😂 So happy you liked the stories though. I love the McKallisters. Fiercely Emma (book 3) has been written and is just finishing up with the editing. It's been getting positive buzz so I'm hopeful it will live up to expectation. I have my narrators booked for July 3rd and if all goes as planned all book formats will be released together next month(although Audible can be a little unpredictable and may release a few days behind). Next week I'll post the release date on Facebook. 😀
J. Bengtsson Hi Zfghi,
Thanks for taking the time to ask and for staying with the series. :) Emma's story should be out the end of June to the beginning of July. If you are on the mailing list you will get to read the first chapter in May. It should give you an idea of what the story will be like. You can find that list through my Facebook page jbengtssonauthor.
