I typically wake with words on my mind; the tip of the pen. Some thoughts are merely fleeting sentences, released from the imagination crevices of my thinking. Other thoughts are deeply formed and fused topics, concepts or exchanges that pour out without hindrance as I open the gate and let them flow.

The written word captures moments in time, evoking memories or directing thoughts toward an expected end or resolve. I value language, and recognize it is by far the most intelligent and advanced form of interaction available among people.

What better mystery than walking out the "mystery of Christ?" It's "Christ in you, the hope of glory..." the journey we take with Him produces a relational discovery as He leads us closer to or purpose, and deeper into our destiny. :) My first book, The Name Speaks, touches on a personal mystery I experienced - the mystery of the broken places of my generation(s) being repaired. It began with my name, its meaning, and its call placed on my life. In that book, I invite readers to journey themselves, in the mystery of their calling, embedded within their name.

Which stack of books would you like me to draw from? LOL This summer is a "working" summer ~ I'm writing the second installment for Doors, Gates & Thresholds; preparing a study in preparation for my Master's Degree; and playing catch up on reads that I've gathered along the way. Therefore, my nose will primarily be in the ancient texts, with "drive-by' books" for relaxation. LOL

The Land of Oz. As a child, the books by Frank L. Baum captured me just as much as the cinema rendition did! I loved the adventures of each character, and meeting the new, as I journeyed through the series. Oz speaks to me metaphorically of an overcoming lifestyle, filled with adventure, challenge, dark conditions to be overcome, evil to put out . . . and a city to be arrived at. The only difference? "The man behind the curtain" in this faith life we live is neither a fraud, nor is he incapable of ruling from authority and power. :) The King of the city whose make and builder is God anticipates our arrival, but not before we overcome.

The second book of the Doors Gates & Threshold Series. :) This installment is all about the pillars of the Kingdom, so I find it a broad topic. However, it will nestle nicely into the purpose and format of the whole.

I've always held a penchant for names. Names are identifiers and descriptors . . . as I journeyed through a life scenario, names became an integral piece of the puzzle before me. Couple names and naming with the Ancient of Days, and we see a very important pattern emerge . . .
