(view spoiler)[I like magical creatures, weird stuff that could happen if humans become morally bankrupt, and anything that brings attention to issues that society does not address in the way that it should. P for Possession, though a romantic suspense novel, discusses dating violence, statutory rape, PTSD, Stockholm syndrome, and other domestic violence related issues. These are things adults discuss all the time, but what about kids? That's why my characters are teens...this trauma starts at an early age and only gets worse as people get older if they don't get help. So, I attempted to parellel what makes a healthy relationship vs. what makes an unhealthy relationship. I wanted readers to realize that hey, if you're (or friends or relatives) experiencing some of the same things these characters are, know that it's not your fault, it's not normal, and please, please get help. I don't mean to sound like an after-school special, but I learned a lot from those types of media growing up. Yes, my work is a guilty pleasure, but it still carries a bigger meaning/message. I am rough sketching Book 2 for the P-O-S-S-E-S-S-I-O-N Chronicles; please note that each book in the series will follow the letters in the word "Possession," which is why Book 1 is "P" for Possession. I actively invite readers to share their ideas for Book 2 after they have read Book 1. I am all about giving the readers what they want by taking them on the journey with the characters. I am also editing Volume 2 of the "Elements" series for "Spirit Falls"--a YA/NA, sci-fimantasy (science-fiction-romance-fantasy) novel that I designed to be a quick read for parents and kids. I am quite long-winded with my works, and I know that people don't always have the time to read 400-pages for every single book, especially not on a Kindle, Nook, etc. That's something new I'm doing for future works--splitting them up so readers can digest the stories better.

Forgive me, but I don't believe in "writer's block." If you think about it, there's nothing "physically" stopping you from writing. You could write "I don't know what to write" 20 times until you investigate what it is that's keeping you from really writing the next sentence, paragraph, or chapter. Usually, it's just a lack motivation, too many distractions, or a momemtary loss of interest in the topic. All of which writers can overcome.
