Reading, newspapers, actual life experiences. So far my first two books have been from experiences and the last one from extensive research. My bibliography for Adventurous Children of the Donner Party is quite extensive.

Since childhood I have been fascinated by the Donner Party story. I then began accumulating books as I researched their saga across the US. Most books are written for adults and although all ages can read this book, I thought one directed towards the child would make a great book. There is so much to learn and be inspired by with this story.
