I am currently working on a small collection of short stories. This is mainly about going over stories that I've already written and selecting/rewriting the stories that I'd like to showcase.
I'm also working on a novel. It's set in Japan and follows the aftermath and investigation of a bombing in Tokyo. Our hero is Inspector Iwase and, due to a US casualty in the bombing, is joined by an investigator from Texas.

I think writer's block is a synonym for "procrastination". I have had very bad cases of it too.
The best way is just to write. I know that sounds glib, but generally sitting at your keyboard and writing the word "And then ..." Don't worry about the quality of the writing, just get the content down. You'll rewrite later.
