I wake up full of ideas most days and write as many of them down before I start work or run out of inspiration. About 2% of these become something fruitful. A much larger percentage are concerns I have about the boy in my local supermarket doing himself out of a job by pricing vegetables up in advance rather than weighing them on demand and why Liverpool sold Xabi Alonso.

In my spare time I've just started working on A Good Guide to Bad Metal - a spoof of the Nu Metal genre's peak years around the turn of the millennium.
There's also a plan, with no timing, funding or permission slips from my wife-to-be to ride around the far more pleasant southern half of China.
I'm going to try and break a world record in autumn, so I may do a short ebook to cover that.

Get a real job, treat writing as a hobby. If you're good enough it will take off whatever the circumstances, working will provide ideas and make you grateful for the times you can write.
