I love a good horror and a massive end-of-the-world storyline and I thought why not combine the two?
Whilst flicking through the sunday paper (and reflecting on my own experinces of afganistan) I noticed that some days the world seemed ruled by anarchy. Then I got to thinking, what if it wasn't anarchy? What if the seemingly random acts of violence were in fact by design? Then there would have to be someone in charge and they would have to have some dark plans. And no-one is darker than the Devil.
Obviously the basic good against evil scenario comes from the bible but I wanted to give it a twist and I don't think readers will be disapointed.

Inspiration is everywhere you just have to be adventurous, go out there and find it. I can guarantee its not going to walk into your living room while you sit on your rear end.

This is a tricky one, I don't suffer from blocks often but when they strike they are frustrating.
I find that the best course of action for me is to walk away from the problem and do something else. I find the subconscious mind will chew the problem over while you have some fun. It shouldn't be painful writing, if it is what's the point?

(view spoiler)[I'm currently working on the sequel to Sons of Darkness, the world will descend further into chaos as the Devil exerts his influence. Tom will be unable to counter the threat and some of the other characters will have to struggle on as best they can without him.
It's proving difficult to find the time to sit down in front of a keyboard and smash the story out, bear with me and I promise you won't be disappointed. I find one of the biggest challenges being a writer is juggling Work, family life and everything else whilst trying to produce a first class novel. (hide spoiler)]

Work hard and don't give in, you'll get there in the end.

Actually seeing your work in print is a real buzz but having someone tell you that they have enjoyed your writing is why I do this.
