Um...a total of 4 novels? No, really! I have been writing a novel for several years, which has grown to the point where it will almost certainly become a trilogy. So that's three. Then after I had published 'Making Friends with the Crocodile', I began work on another novel, also set in India. Then there are the sporadic short stories.

Just do it! Just write! If it doesn't quite work, you can edit. You'll need to edit, anyway. And as you write, you get fresh ideas.

Invariably, I go for a walk. For me, there is nothing so conducive to thinking as getting outside, preferably away from streets and houses.
