I just plain love the process of writing, and I love the notion that something that came out of my brain might be a positive in someone else’s life.
I spend hour upon hour writing and editing. I go over scenes again and again and again, thinking about whether they make sense or accomplish what I want them to.
I do it because I enjoy it, but if someone finds the work entertaining, funny, or thought-provoking, that’s the icing on the cake. That feels pretty darned good.
Getting paid without having to brush my hair or leave the house is also very nice.
