While speaking about my first book, The Painting and The Piano, very often the topic about what else I had done came up. Once I started telling of my journey; eyes got wide open, chins dropped and there was complete silence every single time. That's when I thought maybe I have another book here and hence, Through Jasper's Eyes, was born.

God gave me 2 ears and 1 mouth so I try to listen and observe and inevitably something comes up. Once I write that idea down everything starts to flow. So really, I am inspired by others.

I honestly love the process. Although all aspects of writing are difficult, when I come out the other side it feels awesome. I have a great amount of respect for writers.

I walk around my neighborhood, which is on the South Florida Coast, and just try to think about anything else for a little while. I listen to music when writing so I will try and change that as well. The last book I mostly listened to Gospel and when I got blocked I turned on Led Zeppelin
