The best advise I've been given is work on something else. Get out of the super focused state and back into one that allows the ideas to flow again. Talk to people sometimes even describing what your working on will smash the block.

I'd say its the same as being a reader almost. You get to explore these characters' worlds. You get to create a new place and bring people in to see what you see. Almost like opening up your brain to them.

Don't give up. I'm very lucky and have an amazing support system of people with years of experience in this business. I hope one day to be able to be to someone else what these people in my corner are to me. Find those people who are willing to give you advice and help you be the best you can be. Keep writing, follow some of your favorite writers on social media see what they post. Reach out to people, you may not get a response but you never know.

Honestly it could be anything, something just sparks an idea and that's the inspiration. I listen to a lot of music and I make playlist for my projects that I listen to while I work.

I actually got the idea for Survival Ties while I was at my day job, it just hit me and the characters came to life for me.
