I'd have to say that the best thing about being a writer is creating your own worlds. You are in control. You get to create your own little beings in a world of your own making.

I was inspired about a year ago to recreate the series by working on Final Fantasy fanfiction with friends. It gave me the motivation to develop the story of Left Behind in a more character-based manner rather than heavily plot-driven. I believe that characters should carry their story rather than be lost to the plot.
