Spencer Pierson In this case I didn't want to split the focus from the MC of my primary series and the story of Ashrak and Chari. This is all part of the same, very long story, and I think they deserved their own book. Besides, I hate when point of views jump too far.
Spencer Pierson I have so many stories in my head its not hard at all. Thirty years of gaming, roleplaying, and making up adventures for people does have its uses.
Spencer Pierson I'm currently working on the story of Ashrak and Chari. The book is called "The Duke of Brun" and will be a shorter work, but three parts. I want to get my stories out there faster.
Spencer Pierson Freakin push that publish button. Quit scaring yourself to death and stop letting OTHER people scare you to death with doom / gloom. Make a good story and realize that most people are fine with a few errors if your voice is strong. And do at least 2000 words a day. Anyone who says 1000 words a month is fine is just trying to sink their competition.
Spencer Pierson Achieving goals for me rather than someone else. Freedom. Telling a story and seeing (or reading) how people react to it. I'm a story teller, been a gamer, and my personal interest is seeing that look of awe, amusement, or fascination on other's faces. Good stuff.
Spencer Pierson This is a good question AND one that is very common with authors. Gosh, you just push through it. Don't give in and don't "wait" until it passes. Write. That's the only way to get through it. Very often, it might just be a tough or wrong paragraph that has your sub-conscious being resistant.
