Alex Wolf I deal with writers block by 'going back to the drawing board'. I go back to where I get my inspiration from whether that be music, movies or other books. I forget about my own outlet and lose myself in others creations and soon I find myself returning to my own stories with a new flair. Usually, we burn out or feel 'blocked' because we start thinking about what we are actually writing rather than expressing it. Automatically, the creativity is lost and by returning to the source can it be found again.

I aspire to be like Anne Rice. One of her favourite pieces of advice is no matter how uninspired you are or how 'blocked' you feel, you must write. Write anything and everything and soon the creativity returns as it begins to feel as natural as breathing again. Every one needs a break every now and then and writers block is a good time to take it as a sign that you need to do more reading (hurrah!)
