Hello April. I am a great fan of your works and hope that you can find the muse you need to give us the third book in the Nemesis series. Danielle Tozer is one of the most interesting and compelling characters I’ve had the pleasure of encountering in my reading. Please continue?. I know it’s hard. It may even be impossible but if Dreadnaught can do it, so can you.
April Daniels The third and final manuscript of the Nemesis trilogy is already with my editor. The release date is TBD, but the book will happen.

How long did it take to write Dreadnought and Sovereign?
April Daniels Dreadnought took about 3 months. Sovereign took about 2 years. The upcoming third book is taking 4 years and counting.

Hi April! Absolutely loved Dreadnought and am starting Sovereign now! You've inspired me to pivot my writing to trans lead stories. Do you have any advice for a burgeoning trans woman/author as I attempt to write more stories with trans leads?
April Daniels Keep writing, and take criticism as a chance to grow, and read a lot more nonfiction than you would otherwise.

Hey, I just wanted to say that I loved the first two books. I really want more tales with Danielle and all the rest. I feel like the first two bookend each other really well, like you made the rare duology that works. Thanks for everything! I was wondering, does this have to be a trilogy? I was satisfied with the ending of Book 2, but I want more and don't see why it would have to end after book three.
April Daniels I'm so glad you like my books! The Nemesis trilogy has to stop at three because I need to move on to other projects, but I'm committed to making sure I stick the landing.

Hi April, Trans fan girl here. I’m about 3/4 of the way into Sovereign (audiobook version), and already I’m desperate to know if/when there will be a Book 3! Dare I ask? Argh! Curses!, the answer could be a spoiler in itself... -Kelly Ps. The narrator is fantastic!

Where did you come up with the idea of Dreadnought? Were you nervous about making her transgender.
April Daniels I wanted to write a transgender superhero story from the outset. The first thing I decided was that she'd be trans, and the second thing was that she'd be called Dreadnought.

I'm wondering which of the online retailers of your pub gives you the most of the money. I really want to support the author rather than the big companies?
April Daniels It's sweet that you want to support me, but my publisher is actually a very small, committed team, so you should pick which retailer to shop at simply on the basis of which retailer you want to support; my publisher and I will make sure the money is shared fairly.

Hello! I was wondering if Danny's name was taken from your last name? I just now realized that her birthname is the same as your name. Thank you!
April Daniels Hi! Her name was not taken from my last name, though I realized that synchronicity soon after the first draft was completed. The reason I named her Danny was because I came up with the name Dreadnought first, and initially I toyed around with giving her a name that could create alliteration if they were used in conjunction--as in, Dreadnought Danny or Danny Dreadnought. I junked that idea, but by then Danielle was already an established character in my mind, and shifting gears to rename her would be too much of a hassle.
