Well, there's only so long you can sit there staring at a blank screen! I usually write in coffee shops - I can't write in complete silence - so something usually kick starts me but of not then a flick through Grazia or a browse on H&M will get the juices flowing. I'm never not inspired by looking at day to day fashion.

You can do it anywhere! It is flexible and completely without limits. I have a small child and school hours are surprisingly short so it helps to be able to do something that fits in with his day. Also, I write about about what I know and love, it's not rocket science. Shopping, clothes, styling, wardrobe malfunctions, retail tricks - it's all stuff I am in the know about and I enjoy sharing it.

I'm not sure I'm qualified to answer that question... however I would say that if you love to write then go for it. I was lucky enough to grow up with two parents who loved what they did and so that was all I wanted from my career. I started out as an actress and as with writing, you are by no means guaranteed a regular income so you'd better be sure you are passionate about it. Both can be solitary and at times isolating professions.

My publisher Hannah MacDonald! She has not only known me for a very long time but has also followed my blog from the beginning. One day she sat me down and pointed out that I was putting 900 words a week down anyway so I might as well turn them into chapters. Hannah made me realise just how much material I had - that's one of the reasons she's so good at what she does.

I am inspired by anything and everything. Living in London means inspiration is all around and even on days when I don't think I have any ideas, the minute I sit down at my laptop, I usually find it comes flooding out. Fashion never stands still so it is the ultimate visual stimulant.

I am currently working on promoting SHOPPED which came out this month. Just keeping up with the ever changing world of social media is almost a full time job!
