V.L. Cooke I sit in front of my computer and stare at the blank screen. Really, if I'm having writer's block I go talk with my sister and niece to help me figure out what is causing the problem. Usually, they help. If they can't vodka works.
V.L. Cooke For me, it's thinking up creative ways to torture a gnome. While most don't make it into the story it was fun for me.
V.L. Cooke Write, take classes, write some more, read...read a lot.
V.L. Cooke That depends on what you mean by "working on". I'm in the process of final rewrites for Book 1 "Golden Opportunity"; I'm working on the rough draft for "Golden Seas" (yay Camp NaNoWriMo); I'm working on plot lines for books 3 and 4 of the series. I've also got an idea for a spin off, and a new series set in the same world.
V.L. Cooke I love urban fantasy, but I hate that the protagonists are always young women or young men. I wanted something with a 40-something woman MC, who is about as far from perfect as possible. She's divorced, she swears, she's addicted to chocolate, and life has thrown her some serious curve balls, but she survives.
