My third novel is my usual mix of the supernatural, history, and action. We witness Conner and Erin, two college kids who become involved with a grouchy tycoon who has an unthinkable last wish before he dies. But forces from the past aren’t having it, and neither are Conner and Erin. Yet will they be enough to prevent tragedy?

Enter the After is one of those rare stories that’s plucked right from the trials of life. I had cancer, and while recovering from surgery to remove my thyroid, I developed a hematoma in my neck. A ride to a hospital in an ambulance, a near death insertion of a breathing tube, and several days in the ICU got me thinking about some very weird stuff, mainly what would have happened had I died? I wrote about the experience, and it instantly became the first chapter of my novel. The rest became a work of my overactive imagination, with some aspects of my own life intertwined. It evolved into an action-packed dark fantasy with some deeply philosophical moments, and most importantly, a quest for reclamation. I’m very proud to have written it.
