I never stop writing. If I'm busy or stuck then I just do a few lines at a time. I create a dramatic event (usually a murder!) and suddenly the story has taken off again...

Join writing groups or facebook groups. Listen to other writers and learn from them.
Don't rush into getting something published but take your time to get it right. Use a professional proof reader and cover designer. I didn't and I regret it. I do now!

I'm currently finishing a book set on Romney Marsh in the 1940s. The main section has gone to my proof reader and I am just finishing the last few chapters, which are set in 1958. It is the third and last in a family saga.
