My last (and first) book, Making Beds in Brothels, has been spinning around in my head, since a friend told me write my experiences down over 5 years ago. When I started writing much of the plot was already developed in my mind, and it came quickly and cohesively.

I walk and think. I usually have a scene I think over and I either dismiss it, or put it down in print.

I'm giving fiction a go, dark short stories. Although I'm still drawing inspiration as much from my experience's as my imagination, that well is yet to run dry!

Write, don't procrastinate! Don't over research.

Put the manuscript down! Leave it completely alone for 3 or 4 days. Come back to it, if its still not working leave it again for the same period.
