Clay G. Small This question has spun me through decades of great pairings making a choice nearly impossible. To choose a recent coupling, I like Pip Tyler and Andres Wolf in Jonathan Franzen's Purity. The shear rawness of Pip's angst filled personality juxtaposed with the brilliant psychopath Andreas and the secret that binds them makes for disturbing dreams.
