(view spoiler)[I think you mean Lucan and Lady Kal... and yes, that will be revealed. Without giving too much away, I will say that you are asking *exactly* the right question. So much hinges on that unseen moment... I can't overstate its importance. (hide spoiler)]

I honestly have never experienced it. I am sure I will someday, but have not to date.
I may sometimes need a moment to decide on the direction I need to go next; sometimes when writing "Tahr", after completing a chapter, I'd need to think about what characters and settings should be developed next, but once I'd decided on that, the story just seems to flow.
In writing book two, which is well on its way, the toughest part was deciding how far I would be able to take the main plot before needing to put #2 to bed, and leave the rest for #3. There are lots of arcs in lots of different subplots, but once I've figured out how it will all tie together, I then get to do my favorite part - jumping into the skin of the characters and start experiencing what they are experiencing, speaking in their voices, thinking their thoughts. When I make that shift in my head, I'm pretty much in the zone, and the story flows *from* me as much as it happens *to* me.
I have no idea if that's how other writers write, but that's how it works for me.

I honestly don't know. I sat down and started hammering away at the keyboard, and the world of Tahr just fell out of me. Truthfully, I never felt so much as I was writing Tahr, but rather transcribing it from the voice of a narrator in my head. So far, it's been the same as I'm writing Volume Two.
I just asked my wife the other day, who read every chapter as I wrote it. "Do you remember where Shyla came from?" Neither of us had any idea. The characters just sort of showed up, and did whatever they wanted. It's been more a process of discovery than creativity. I'll add this: if this is what it's like to be a writer, I have no idea why I have not been doing this my whole life. It's the most profound and wonderful feeling; now that I'm doing it, I cannot imagine doing anything else.
