Dwan Williams My family and friends really inspired me to write. Coming up I always told jokes or stories about what I have seen or been through and my family and friends always told me that i should write a book, so I tried it and never looked back. I dream, imagine, or have thought out most of my stories. My most recent one is called "For Love". It is a short story in my Wide-A-Wake novel. I was inspired by my B-F-F (Shonda, which is a character in the story).
Dwan Williams I'm currently working on a short story to my novel "Wide-A-Wake, Urban Tales.
Dwan Williams Advice to aspiring writers--Never give up. Always put ur best foot forth and never let negative comments make you not believe in yourself.
Dwan Williams The best thing about being a writer is you get to meet new people and if your writing is good or decent it feels good to hear people make positive comments on your work, and whats most important to me, I like when people fall in love with my characters. It lets me know that I am doing a good job.
Dwan Williams I deal with writers block by not writing for a few days and reading over what I have written then try to go from where I left off.
