Eric Hennig I've always wanted to do something magical, and figured why not create the opportunity myself. I originally wrote a short web-series, and took that and made it into the book.
Eric Hennig Writers block is my kryptonite. It's sounds funny but I usually think of the best ideas when I'm in the shower or I'm driving. I like to drive around listening to music to clear my head.
Eric Hennig Tough question. I had my first draft for Hourglass in about six months. However, I made a ton of changes after that. I deleted a lot, added a lot, deleted more, added more, over and over. All together, it took me around two years. I felt like I could keep adding stuff forever. It was really hard to finally let it go but I'm excited to be working on the sequel :)

Eric Hennig Thank you so much!! Yes, there will be a sequel to Hourglass :)
Eric Hennig Write, write and write. The best way to grow is getting feedback from friends and relatives. Let them read your stuff and tell you what they think. Read books about writing styles, etc., and never give up!
Eric Hennig There's no boundaries or limits. You get to create a world and do whatever you want.
Eric Hennig Sometimes I'll go for a drive to clear my head. If that doesn't work, I'll watch tv for an hour or get in the shower. I don't know why but I always get great ideas in the shower. Haha
