Discovering who my ancestors were on my mother's side of the family would be a fascinating mystery for me to unravel. Based on what little I know, there would be lots of surprising twists and turns, I'm sure. Unfortunately, the information I do have doesn't go very deep or very far back into the past. There are many blanks in my family tree and its history that would be thrilling for me to fill in and in so doing answer many of the lifelong questions I've had about who I come from.

A friend of mine dared me to write a romance, knowing full well that I don't normally read romance novels. So, in finding a way to make the romance interesting enough for me to write it convincingly, I created characters and set them in a world that peaked my curiosity. That's where my idea for the story I'm currently working on came from.
