First I go find one of my writer friends and whine and complain about how mean my characters are being. Then I go back and beat my characters down and find the point to work through.
Just kidding, really I take a break. Or I find something else to work on. Trying to power through and work on something I'm stuck on just turns it into something I can't use.

Write. Write. And then write some more. And when you aren't writing, Read. And join a writing group or make friends with writers. Writing really isn't as solitary an art as everyone tells you. You need people who understand what you're doing.

Right now I'm working on a submission piece for an anthology. If it gets accepted, it will be published in December of this year (2017). And I can't really say more than that.

I don't really wait to get inspired. I try very hard to write every day, although it doesn't always happen.

At the moment, I'm working on editing already finished stories, but my ideas come from all sorts of things. Songs, things I see and experience, quotes, discussions with other writers. Sometimes even pictures or just letting my mind wander.
