Tim Van Minton I'm currently reading "City on Fire" by Garth Risk Hallberg and really enjoying it. I'm also reading, as I like to read two books at once, Neil Gaiman's "Neverwhere" and liking it a lot too. I see some similarities in it to my own book, "The Little Yarnmouth Abduction".
I'm also reading (I know that's three) "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" to my four year old son and we are both loving it. It looks like the rest of the summer reading list will consist of more Roald Dahl and more Neil Gaiman. Sitting on a beach with these two would be perfect!

Tim Van Minton There will be a sequel to The Little Yarnmouth Abduction. I actually planned it as a trilogy. I have the story plotted out and am hoping to have it finished in a year or so (fingers crossed!). I am currently working on another novel, St. Georges P.R.S., which I am eager to finish and get published. I'm hoping to have that one out by November (fingers crossed!!).
Tim Van Minton I am in the second edit phase of a YA paranormal novel called St. Georges PRS, Obviously I am very excited about it. Here's a brief blurb:
When Arun Anderson is sent to St. Georges Private Reform School for stealing a boat he expects the horror stories about harsh discipline techniques and inedible food to be true. But after an arduous ferry ride to a remote island he discovers that St. Georges P.R.S. is not a reform school but a Paranormal Research School. Within days Arun accidentally enters a mysterious room full of strange artifacts, one of which comes alive in his presence. Following the experience he suffers terrible screaming nightmares. No sooner do they stop than the whole school starts suffering from them, yet no one but Arun is aware of it. Unusual occurrences are happening throughout the grounds. Teachers are acting different, pupils are acting different and Arun's visionary nightmares are turning into reality. Now he must find out why everyone is acting so strange and what has left an enormous hole in the Arctic ice and is now making its way south towards St. Georges Island.
Tim Van Minton Write a lot and read a lot more.
Tim Van Minton The ability to create something that doesn't exist.
And the millions of dollars, hahaha
Tim Van Minton Thankfully this is not a problem I suffer from on a large scale. Often I run into a quandary with what direction I want to take a character or plot line. When this happens and I find myself staring blankly at the screen or cleaning the keyboard with Q-tip I know I need to head out for a walk. A bit of fresh air, exercise and trying NOT to think too much about it usually does the job.
