Scarlett O'Hara, and her many suitors along the way to Rhett. I just couldn't love Gone with the wind more. It shows a strong woman defying the odds to get what she wants, and needs. That is a true life lesson. People come from all different backgrounds and struggles, but only a few fight the long hard fight to get what they want in the end.

I got lost in extensive world travel for many years of my life, thus seeing (and writing down) how people can truly behave. Also, I lived in Los Angeles for a while surrounded by the extremely wild acting & modeling scene out there. Put them together and what have you got? An intriguing coming of age story about young souls, lost in a provocative world of money, power, and way to much peer pressure. All the glitters is not gold behind the Hollywood curtain. Or is it..?
In the sequel I'm rooting for LJ to find the courage to love who she truly is, instead of always self destructing, & compromising her own heart to fit in. The fairytale life she dreams of is attainable. But, it will take patience and maturity to get there. We'll see..

I'm just so darn determined to entertain people! That is what truly inspires me. I want my readers to have so much fun losing themselves in the story that they don't realize they just read fifty pages! That's the absolute beauty of literary art.
My best inspirations/ideas come when I'm walking the dog, making dinner for my family, painting, sleeping (keep a notepad by your bed!), chatting with the checkout lady at the grocery store, or simply staring out into space:)
Just write it ALL down and keep the ideas flowing everyday. I have at least five notebooks and legal pads going at once. Plus, notes on my IPhone. It's nuts, but I love it!

It took me ten years to complete this book. Start stop. Start stop. And I would have never finished it without the unequivocal support of my husband. We all start out as "starving artists", and it feels as though no one believes in you (that can also work for you, by lighting a roaring fire under your a*s to show everyone what you've got). All and all though, a good support system will take you far. A wild imagination mixed with a "no fear" attitude will take you across the finish line. And always always write with your five senses in mind. Describe them all. I want you to take me there.

Creating my own world, and getting to make my own rules there. Plus, I know it sounds silly, but I love love love using the thesaurus and researching on Google. Fun fun:)

I once read that if you have writer's block that you are just bored with what you are writing, so I just start typing in babbles when that occurs. What's exciting to me at that moment.
A guy with a cute butt walking by me in the coffee shop, then turning to shoot me a great smile, and how nice it feels as a mom/woman to be noticed sometimes. Or, how anxious I am about our beach trip coming up and the super wild and crazy things the family will do/say with twenty people/children sharing only one house for the week. Or, how I day dream of being topless (no tan lines) and sunbathing on the deck of a gorgeous yacht in the Mediterranean drinking the most exquisite champagne. Then I'm inspired enough to get back on track with my novel. Maybe even using one, or all of these scenarios in the story. If you're excited about what you're writing, your readers will be too!
