Jen Kearns I get inspired by many things. Mostly people and life situations inspire me that have touched me in a significant way. My dogs and cat inspire me as well. I also love having conversations with strangers and listening to the stories they tell me. Often they inspire me to dig a little deeper and open my mind a little wider.
Jen Kearns Just keep on writing. Do not listen to the negative comments people give you. If you really want to be a writer then write and believe in yourself and your story!
Jen Kearns You get to create a story. You can allow your imagination to run wild and create any world you wish. In a sense it is the one place you are in complete control of every word, the message you want to put out there, and the way you wish for it to end. Your creativity is limitless when it comes to writing and I love that freedom and the experience it brings me. But mostly I like the opportunity to lift someone up and inspire them to live in the moment!
Jen Kearns I will do something physically active. Whether it be going to the gym to work out, going for a nice long hike in the mountains or going for a mountain bike ride. Usually after I do one of these I am ready to sit and write.
Jen Kearns I am currently working on my second book called Finding Stella. It is a continuation of my first book Flawed.
Jen Kearns I have always journaled ever since I could write. So for me writing has always been my best therapist. I had a few events that occurred in my life when I was younger which led me down paths I never thought I would go down nor experience. When these events were unfolding, I could not make sense of why they were happening and so I found myself left in a state of confusion and feelings of hate and anger coursed through me. So I began to journey back and take a good look at my past in hopes it would bring closure and peace, and it did. Once I finished my final draft I felt a huge burden lifted off of me. This book brought me peace in ways I never thought possible. It is my hope that someone will read this and they will find the courage to go within and heal. Life is a beautiful gift! Our time here is fleeting, so the sooner you can find peace within, the sooner you will feel complete gratitude for this amazing gift called life.
