Many of us often feel that our world or our lives are surprisingly boring, and that we do not quite fit in.
As a writer, one can create, and escape into, a wonderful new world, and can share this world with kindred spirits.

The simplest thing I do is just start reading the latest few chapters of my incomplete manuscript.
This helps me immerse myself back into my world, and gets the proverbial juices flowing.
And even in the rare cases that this does not help, my time is productively utilised for proof-reading.

"The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" was the first real book that I read, and it left a great impact on my mind.
Among the many remarkable things about the book, it was its extremely open ending that inspired me to start writing, first beginning with fan-fiction, and eventually working my way up.
