Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
M.M. Clem The book that's in the hands of my editor is fiction and the second in a series. The main female character was completely made up and not truly inspired by anyone, although she has parts of me in her and parts of another one of my friends as well.

How do you get inspired to write?
M.M. Clem There's nothing in particular that inspires me on the daily to write; it's just something I feel like I need to do. Sometimes the stories are stuck in my head and they're just running around in there and I feel like if I don't get them out of my head then they're going to take over my whole body. It's a weird (and probably creepy) sensation.

What are you currently working on?
M.M. Clem I'm currently waiting to get my second book back from my editor so I can go back through with final edits before self publishing on May 16, 2017.

M.M. Clem Write for YOU, nobody else.

M.M. Clem Creating little worlds that I'm in charge of!

How do you deal with writer’s block?
M.M. Clem Well, I'm not really sure. I felt like I dealt with a serious case of writer's block for more than 10 years. I had great ideas going on inside my head but nothing fully came together. Every time I tried to type out my ideas I'd get something good and solid down on paper but then I couldn't keep up the momentum. One day someone suggested actually going old school and physically hand writing the stories so that the ideas flowed from my brain down through my arm, into my hand and onto the paper. Guess what? IT WORKED! So that's what I envision each and every time I'm writing. I have to hand write it first and then type it all up.

Also, simply stepping away from the work when it feels like things are boggling me down helps a lot, or talking it out with another author.
