I loved working with Arree -- although we didn't get to work much, directly. It was mostly all done via email with our editor, MaryKate Castellani. She would send my written drafts to him, he would send illos, I would make continuity notes and she would take those (plus my other thoughts) into account when she sent him her notes.
My favorite thing about Arree's work is how he plays with POV and perspective. He's always keen to show things from a unique angle.

I am one of those writers who thinks writer's block is a myth. If there's nothing in my brain, I just put something on the page. If it's no good, I can see it when I revise and kill it later. Imagination-wise, I typically have too many ideas, rather than too few.
I feel stumped all the time, but never feel "blocked."

(view spoiler)[Right now, I'm finishing the sequel to 'The Danger Gang and the Pirates of Borneo' -- it's called 'The Danger Gang and the Isle of Feral Beasts.'
For me, a book needs one good joke to power through -- one funny line that I can aim towards. I had this joke in my mind where the dreaded Liars' Club would try to capture Ronald Zupan's butler, Jeeves, to get revenge on the Danger Gang. Instead, they capture Josh Brigand -- a movie star featured in book one.
The idea of the bad guys saying "We've captured your beloved butler!" and Ronald replying "That's not my beloved butler, that's just some internationally famous movie star!" was the line that set the book rolling.
I was also inspired by the Hollywood history of Catalina Island and the mental image of thousands of Fennec Foxes roaming the hillsides. Google them if you have a sec, they're pretty cute. (hide spoiler)]
