Number 1 rule: TURN OFF YOUR INTERNET.
I will typically hide my phone under my desk as well, on silent. I check during about an hour long lunch and then I turn everything off again in the afternoon.

I also recommend waking up very early, almost too early, and getting to your desk as fast as possible. Your mind is extremely malleable and focused when you're not yet awake.

This is a question I am asked frequently. Yes, I know e-book readers are ubiquitous nowadays. Physical books are fairly heavy and expensive. And considering this book deals thematically with advanced technology, we should practice what we preach, right?
The publisher and I have had discussions about e-book formats. Right now, we are taking a “promote and see” approach. If God Pharm achieves certain sales benchmarks in the physical realm, we will spend the necessary time and money to convert it into an e-book format. Nook, Kindle, & iPad!
