Lina Sage The idea for my most recent book was not really an idea. Because my book is a memoir, the idea to write it was initially suppose to be a cathartic healing journey for only myself to understand. However, when I was done with it, I realized that it was something I needed to share with the world in hopes that it can help people with their own transformation.
Lina Sage Beauty inspires me to write. I try to find beauty in the simplest form of every day life. My dog, husband, relationships with friends and family - these are all things that inspire my writing.
Lina Sage I'm currently working on my spiritual blog called chicsage. I'm also in the process of writing my second book which is a spiritual/self-help guide book. It will be an extension of the last quarter of my memoir.
Lina Sage My advice for aspiring writer's is write from their heart. Don't overthink the process. Authenticity comes from the heart and not the brain. The brain likes to dominate but know that the epitome of our universe is our heart.
Lina Sage The best thing about being a writer is being able to share and create things for people to enjoy. We are all creative beings. Creativity allows one to go inside oneself to find our existence. Then bringing that creativity to light and letting it flourish.
Lina Sage How I deal with writer's block is I usually walk away from the writing process and spend time connecting myself with nature. The peacefulness I find being in nature tends to help me go into quite meditation. Through meditation, I'm able to unblock the energy channels that have prohibited my creative process. Sometimes writer's block will clear up in a few days and at other times it's takes weeks. The time it takes to clear up writer's block is not the important thing. The important thing is realizing what is blocking your creativity.
