I was bending low while slowly opening the cobweb filled door of a long forgotten treasure room. As the door stubbornly creeked open, my alarm clock's jangle loudly inserted itself into my mind throwing me into full awakening while losing the prize of a lifetime.

To be honest, some of my books have come because an good author friend of mine will say "Why doesn't Stripe do this or that." and yes, Ann Jones I mean you. Love you bunches girl. Also, Anna Gary, artist extraordinaire of Barn Town, and I spend late nights or early, early mornings saying "What If's" to each other over Messenger. My poor hubby has learned to sleep with the lights on and Anna and I talking in the background.

Be humble. Listen to others who are where you want to be in your writing. Pay it forward. By that I mean invest yourself and your time in new writers. And read, read alot, read out of your genre. If writing is important to you, you will make time for it to the point of ignoring other things in your life. Remember to be kind to your loved ones who give you the space to live inside your mind as you create a new world.

I read. I watch a little tv and talk to my hubby. I sit up at the barn and listen to the residents of Barn Town and then I read some more. Usually by then, I have ideas simmering in my head and then I sit down and start typing.

Anna and I are working on a journal for Barn Town. We hope to have it available for the holiday season.
