I haven't really planned out a summer reading list. Writing has taken up a TON of my time. Of course, I'm always open to suggestions :-)

Oh wow what a question! Maybe not a mystery, but my childhood was unique. We lived on a fish hatchery, which was in a very outskirts rural area. There is a mountain of childhood shenanigans I could write about :-)

The narrator in Poe's "The Tell Tale Heart". His insanity is a slow burn, you start out believing this guy is a genius and will get away with killing the old man. Poe is a master at starting you out with one kind of character and then morphing that character right before your eyes.

Well I'm glad to hear you liked The Sand Dweller !
I have a psychological thriller I'm working on now, as well as a children's book (I know, what a combination!) that I hope to finish this year. A sequel to The Sand Dweller is in the works as well.

Don't ever stop writimg! I know it sounds like tired old advice, but it's the best advice. Keep perfecting your craft, by attending conferences, join groups, take writing classes, whatever you can get your hands on. Ask lots of questions and surround yourself with other writers.

My current work in progress is a physiological thriller. Serial killer stuff, totally loving the switch up in the type of writing I usually do

I think all readers entertain the idea of writing their own books. It's a natural progression of creative people. At some point, reading is not enough. That's how it happened for me.

Originally I intended to write a vampire novel. Through my research of ancient Egypt, different ideas began to show themselves. The result is a very different book than my first idea
