J.T. Philips That's a tough one... Maybe Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Their chemistry is very unique and real. There's no sappy underlying love story that follows them throughout the series. The romance is handled in a way that seems quite natural, which I appreciate.
J.T. Philips I got the idea for The Last of their Kind from a dream. It was a fairly simple dream, but it was enough to give me an idea to write about. The dream was about a girl with red eyes who could throw fire. If you've ready my book, that may sound kind of familiar. That dream inspired my main character and the rest just flowed from there.
J.T. Philips A better question is what am I NOT working on? Currently, I am writing two separate fan-fiction pieces, editing my second book, re-writing my third book, and writing a prequel to my first book.
J.T. Philips Usually I'll be doing homework or sitting around and a thought will just pop into my head. There is nothing specific that inspires me to write, thought there are places that help me write. I love writing in the woods or by the lake. It's so peaceful and it allows me to get my thoughts straightened out.
J.T. Philips If you have a story to tell, tell it! Writing gives you power. Don't be afraid to make your voice heard!
J.T. Philips The best thing about being a writer is making your own rules! When you write, you don't have to maintain a set format or style. What you write is solely yours and you can make your writing whatever you want it to be.
J.T. Philips Usually I take a break from what I'm writing and try to write something different. It allows me to take my mind off of the stuff I'm stuck on and concentrate on something new. Then when I go back to what I was stuck on, I usually have new ideas.
