To deal with writer's block, I simply take a break from writing. I do something else I enjoy doing, and it is not long before I am back to writing!

The idea for the book I will be publishing soon came from my husband. The idea for my current WIP came from realizing where I am today compared to other family members that have chosen not to break the generational curse.

I started reading at a young age, and loved how I could read and escape my real life. My dad was my first inspiration to write. I based my first series on made up bedtime stories he told me as a child. I wanted to write them so others could read my books to escape from their real lives.

I am currently working on a fictional book, based on real life events about breaking generational curses.

My advice for aspiring writers is - don't give up! You have a story to tell, and there are people that need to hear it. Find people in your circle that encourage you to do what you want to do. The writing community is huge, however, we all look to support each other. Happy writing!

The best thing about being a writer is being able to share your talent for writing, and telling stories from the heart with others that can appreciate. It creates a welcome escape for readers.
