I make myself write on the bus. I sit down and pull out my notebook and start writing before I can talk myself out of it. Not very inspirational, but it's kind of like jogging or elipticizing, where once you work up a sweat, you just keep going.

"A Fool's Call" came to me after working with the guy who inspired Chet Jackson. I wondered what I could do if I made his character a little more intense, gave him some compulsions that might prove quite disturbing.
