Do not try to be any other author and don't copy anyone's style. It is important that you write something that you have full conviction of. Be yourself, your persona and your chain of thoughts should be reflected in that work of yours.

The best thing about being a writer is that I can kill anyone in my novel. On a serious note, I just love to be amidst my characters and I feel that I belong to that place and I just don't need anybody else. It is such a satisfying feeling.

You guys might think that I have answered this question in a lighter vein but I have not. I think whenever I face the deadly writer's block, I tend to change my perfume and visit an entirely new cafe and eat something with a lot of veggies. In a way, this process takes me away from the book and allows me to switch myself off for some time.
