An error occurred while sorting questions for author Nick Fuller Googins.
First, I didn't know you writings until a few weeks ago when I discovered by serendipity, The Frequency of Living Things, which I just reviewed favorably. So two questions: 1) How do you get your writing done when you apparently teach 4th graders full-time? I'm a former high school teacher. 2) Of your stated influences, I readily perceive King, I don't perceive Le Guin or Vonnegut. What in their works influences you?

Thanks for the questions! I write in the morning before school, maybe 45 minute to an hour a day, but it surprisingly adds up. And weekends of course, plus summer. I'm very luck to have no student debt so unlike many of my fellow teachers, my only second job over the summer is my writing.

Le Guin was a huge influence for The Great Transition...imagining a hopeful future and trying to envision that future on the page. Thanks so much for the read and the comment, hope you enjoy!
