I had a private investigator character in the first draft of my novel, Anamnesis, but I ended up cutting him out because he wasn't necessary for the plot. I'm writing a sequel that doesn't have any PIs either, but maybe I'll write a detective story one day.

Thank you, Eric. I had the feeling that all was not right with the world and wanted to express this is some way. In the process I learned a lot and became convinced that humanity is on the brink of finding a better way.

Thank you! The cover is by my partner, Alyssa Dennis, an artist. The rainbow and eight-pointed star are recurring symbols in the book. Esoterically, they both represent wholeness and balance. The plants are meant to evoke the Amazon, where part of the novel is set.

I do, but most of the time I work at home researching public records in my sweatpants.

I would. My novel imagines an apocalypse in the original Ancient Greek meaning of the word—an uncovering of knowledge. This kind of apocalypse is not the end, but a new beginning, and what I think the human race needs at this juncture in our history.
