William Keefer I had a private investigator character in the first draft of my novel, Anamnesis, but I ended up cutting him out because he wasn't necessary for the plot. I'm writing a sequel that doesn't have any PIs either, but maybe I'll write a detective story one day.

William Keefer Thank you! The cover is by my partner, Alyssa Dennis, an artist. The rainbow and eight-pointed star are recurring symbols in the book. Esoterically, they both represent wholeness and balance. The plants are meant to evoke the Amazon, where part of the novel is set.
William Keefer I do, but most of the time I work at home researching public records in my sweatpants.
William Keefer I would. My novel imagines an apocalypse in the original Ancient Greek meaning of the word—an uncovering of knowledge. This kind of apocalypse is not the end, but a new beginning, and what I think the human race needs at this juncture in our history.
