12-year-old Sammy, having recently lost his grandmother, was sleeping soundly in his grand father's guest room when a light tapping on his shoulder woke him. As he slowly turned his head to see who did this he heard, whispered in his grand mother's voice, "Hello Pumpkin."

My grandmother passed away when I was 12 years old. One night, when I was 13, I was sleeping at my grandfather's home, in a back bedroom with my brother when I felt a tap on my shoulder (Actually have chills/goosebumps as I wrote that). When I turned my head I saw a shadow standing beside my bed and heard, in my grandmother's voice and accent, "Hello Pumpkin." That is what she always called me. I screamed and she disappeared. I always regretted that...I wish she would come back for a visit. I feel like she might be sad because she frightened me.

I would have to say that since a boy my favorite character has always been Tom Sawyer. I suppose this is because he is so much like myself in regards to seeking out adventure.

The second book in the Nick and Billy Adventure Series, The Mystery of Hidden Lake. I received quite a few request to create a series out of The Mystery of the Rougarou. I had so much fun writing this story that it will be a pleasure for me to do so.

If you don't try it'll never happen. Like anything in life that brings peace or joy, just do it! I have never caught the trophy bass I have been chasing my entire life. People ask how can I spend hours on the lake, day after day trying to catch a fish. My reply is, "If I don't get out there and try, then it will definitely never happen!"

As a first time published author, I feel honored when someone tells me that my writing is "good", or "powerful", or best of all "Wow". I think it is a gift that has been handed to me by God.

Well, on the book I am currently working on, THE MYSTERY OF THE ROUGAROU, I hit an especially bad case of 'Writer's Block'. I finally put my computer away to stop torturing myself. It took a month, but it ended while I was out on a lake fishing, and the path my book would take was suddenly clear. I've heard some writers say to keep writing, no matter what. I disagree - I think you should put it away and do whatever it is that brings you peace. Eventually, your mind will solve the problem, no matter what it is.
