Jann Weeratunga As she looked in the mirror, the 50 years of aging dripped from her wrinkled face, time had not been kind to her, her life essence had been sucked from her body, replaced by a hollowness that would would haunt her reflection forever. The coma had not been kind.

Sir Phillip Craven gave a speech in which he discribbed how a mother and her son were reading a book (Treasure Island), the mother showed a picture of a man with one eye, one arm and one leg and asked her son who he was. He replied that as her had only one eye, one arm and one leg he must be a Paralympian.
Such was the strength of the 2012 London Paralympic Games that the child didn't see the disability of the Pirate, but only his potential to be an athlete.
That is what inspired me to write.
