Your book sound interesting, Pandora's Genes, have you been writing very long? I have a friend who is a writer, he said. everyone should try and write. I am trying to write a short story, do you have any advice for new writers just starting out?

Kathryn Lance Hi, Carolyn, sorry I didn't see this earlier. In answer to your questions, I've been writing since I was a little girl, but I've been a professional writer for more than forty years, and have published more than 50 books. I'm not sure that everybody should try to write, but if you enjoy writing and you have something to say, then definitely work on it. It takes a lot of practice--something like lifting weights. Your writing muscle only gets stronger when you use it. I have lots and lots of writing tips on my writing blog. Here's the link: http://klandherbooks.blogspot.com/ . I suggest looking at the posts for 2012, because there are a lot of tips especially for new and inexperienced writers. Good luck with your writing!
