ENLY AND THE BUSKING BLUES was inspired by my son. He came home from school the day his 5th grade Spanish teacher played her accordion for the the class and told me he wanted to use his Chinese New Year money to buy one so he could busk. I was excited, but tried to play it cool, because I'd been trying to coax him to busk with his keyboard (so he could money for college-haha). I suggested he ask his piano teacher where he could buy a used one, and that's when we learned about the melodica. I knew right then that this could be a fun story!
